In addition to the previously organized meeting with farms representatives in Spitamen region, analogous meeting was held in Rudaki region.
The main objective of the meeting was to provide necessary information for farms representatives about effective using water and energy resources. Another one was presentation of agro credit products of the Bank with profitable conditions.
Some of new for Tajikistan and at the same time effective methods of developing agricultural sector are recognized trickle irrigation of lands, greenhouses construction and water wells drilling. Just about those methods talked representatives of the Eskhata Bank: agro credits coordinator Shuhrat Usmonov and director of the Bank branch in Rudaki region Ghairatshoh Samiev. During the meeting, more than 80 leaders of farms took participation, and the main accentuate was done on acquaintance with advantages of above-mentioned methods, with installation technologies, implementation and expected results, and as well presentation of conditions of the Bank’s agro credit products.
It should be marked that Bank Eskhata issues easy credits for agricultural development, rendering assistance to farmers with money and technics, and providing free counselling by agro sector specialists. In those directions, the Bank has active cooperation with organizations “Sarob” and CLIMADAPT project representatives.
Rudaki region is agrarian, and farmers mainly deal with livestock farming, gardening and crop production. This meeting helped to farms leaders to get both acquaintance with the Bank’s proposals and with latest innovation methods of using water and energy resources, and as well to get answers for their questions
On 21st and 28th July 2017 the Climadapt Team organized its next Technology Workshops on innovative climate resilience technologies dedicated to the Equipment Modernization, which can generate significant reduction of energy consumption and electricity bills, improve efficiency and quality of products. Approximately 50 representatives of SMEs, NGOs and Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs) from both Sogd and Khatlon regions participated in the workshops.
