The CLIMADAPT project funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), invites media representatives to participate in the competition "EBRD’s CLIMADAPT climate resilience journalist of 2017".
§ Increase media coverage of climate resilience measures in Tajikistan;
§ Facilitate close cooperation with the media on the topic of climate resiliene measures; and
§ General awareness-raising on measures that promote climate resilience.
Best coverage within the following categories:
§ Print & digital
Subject of competition:
§ Climate resilience technologies - promoting equipment and measures that improve energy/water/soil management in Tajikistan;
§ Benefits of climate resilience technologies for households, farmers and MSMEs in Tajikistan.
The main criteria for assessing the entries is as follows:
§ Professional coverage and ability to raise greater awareness on the topic of increasing resilience to climate change in Tajikistan
§ High quality of visual and sound material
§ Mention of gender or inclusion
§ Participants of the competition can be representatives of radio, TV, print media and internet media.
§ The following materials are accepted for the competition: essays, articles, correspondence, reports, interviews, blogs and audio tracks published in any periodical print edition, placed on the internet, TV or radio spot – at least 2 and no more than 3 works from each participants.
§ Materials should be produced in either Russian or Tajik
§ The duration of the competition is 21 July 2017 – 31 December 2017.
§ For participation in the competition, journalists must send their entries (radio spots, newspaper and internet articles) sealed in envelopes and published in the media between July 2017 and 31 December 2017 with contact information sent before 12 January 2018 to: email@example.com or Dushanbe, Bohtar street 37/1, 802.
§ Winners will be announced in February 2018.

Technology workshop on solar dryers for fruits and vegetables was organized by the Climadapt team on April 25, 2018. It brought together 54 farmers of Kanibadam district. Growing apricots and peaches and their further processing and export is widely developed in Kanibadam and Isfara districts of Sugd region.
