Households are mainly exposed to climate change through energy insecurity and water resource constraints. Many Tajik households suffer from shortages of electricity during the winter, borne mainly by the rural population. CLIMADAPT supports energy efficiency measures at the household level, such as the insulation of homes and apartments, rain water harvesting, energy efficient air conditioners and other appliances to address energy insecurity and help households build climate resilience.
The case studies below provide examples that illustrate how CLIMADAPT is helping ordinary households improve the quality of their daily lives through investing in climate resilience technologies.
